Operation
An important objective during the
developement of the KWZ 30 was to keep the number of controls as
small as possible without limiting the variety of adjustable
parameters. the controls could be reduced to a minimum:
- a large tuning knob for frequency
selection
- a small knob for audio volume an ON/OFF
- a keybord with 20 keys for the
following functions.:
- 10 numerical keys for digital
frequency selection, input of AGC time constants
and other numerical values.
- 4 function keys, individually
programmable.
- 3 direct keys for Notch Filter,
Noise Reduction and Squelch.
- 3 menu control keys.
The KWZ 30 can also be operated via a
virtual control panel on a PC. The comfortable Windows program Radio Manager is available for that purpose. The PC is
connected to the KWZ 30 via the RS-232 port.
